RESERVATIONS OPEN FOR 2020 SAILINGS
Relaxed yachting with immersive experiences
It is an exciting time for sophisticated cruisers. New cruise lines are entering the market. Existing lines are adding new and more modern ships. We’ve got lots of choices.
One of the new lines is the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection from the award-winning Ritz-Carlton brand. Known for personalized service, elevated dining and luxury accommodations on land, the Yacht Collection extends the Ritz-Carlton gold standard of service and luxury to the sea.
Three custom-built ships have been ordered to launch this brand, with the first 298 passenger yacht beginning service in early 2020 – reservations are now available! This all-inclusive luxury all suite yacht offers 24-hour in-suite dining, as well as four included dining venues and one specialty dining room (at an added cost). Beverages in-suite and throughout the ship are included, as well as gratuities, and Wi-Fi. All 149 suites have a private terrace and an almost one crew to every guest ratio to guarantee exemplary service.
At the back of the ship you’ll find a deck offering direct access to the water and water-sports during port days.
Not surprising from a company known for pampering guests, the spa is designed and operated by the Ritz-Carlton, with indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, relaxation areas, and state-of-the-art fitness equipment.
Exotic & less visited destinations
One of our favorite things about the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is its itinerary selection. As a smaller ship, it is able to stop in ports which even medium size luxury ships cannot visit. Unlike large cruise ships offering the same itinerary over and over during a season, the Yacht Collection visits more remote and less visited ports. Guests will be able to see and enjoy new, and less crowded, destinations.
One of my favorite itineraries, and there are several, is a relaxing 9 night cruise from Saint Lucia to Barbados where you’ll see stunning volcanic landscapes, reefs, gorgeous beaches and experience the rich local culture of the French Caribbean.
If you’ve never experienced a cruise tour of the northeast’s vibrant fall foliage color change in Canada and New England, this 7 night cruise on September 26, 2020, leaving Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Boston will be a real treat. Fares start at just $5,600 per person.
Sophisticated cruisers are looking for experiences, and shore excursions from the Yacht Collection deliver. Imagine stepping into a field of lavender and then making your own perfume. Or how about treating yourself to a Michelin-starred restaurant or visiting a renowned winery with the yacht’s sommelier. How about a hands-on-lesson on Martinque’s culinary history and a lunch of local specialties. Or learn the secrets of one of France’s most coveted delicacies Bouzigues oysters at a private farm.
Fares – great value
Most cruises are 7 – 10 days
New yacht, new cruise line, a delightful escape
